TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Mystic Muse LLC – Photography Services

By booking a session with Kristen McNevins/The Mystic Muse LLC, you agree to the following terms:

1. Overview of Services

Photography sessions are offered as creative collaborations intended to reflect your unique essence. Sessions may include portrait, branding, or lifestyle photography. The specific offering, time, and location will be confirmed upon booking and detailed in your confirmation email.

All sessions are facilitated by Kristen McNevins of The Mystic Muse LLC.

2. Payment & Booking

Full payment or deposit is required to reserve your session. All fees are non-refundable. If a payment plan has been agreed upon, a 50% retainer is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due before your session date.

If you opt into a payment plan, your final gallery and images will not be delivered until the full balance is paid in full. If payment is not received by the due date stated in your invoice or agreed upon in your payment plan, a late fee of $25 will be added to your balance after a 3-day grace period. Additional late fees may accrue every 7 days thereafter until the balance is paid in full.

Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.

3. Cancellations, No Shows & Rescheduling

Because each session is a time-blocked, intentional experience and preparation begins in advance:

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your session will forfeit the full payment.

You may reschedule once with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability.

If your session must be rescheduled by The Mystic Muse LLC due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, a new date will be offered or a refund will be issued.

If you do not show up to your scheduled session without notice, your retainer is non-refundable and a new booking will be required to reschedule.

4. Client Responsibility

Please arrive on time and come prepared. If you are late, the session will still end at the scheduled time. No additional time will be added.

You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions or location access in advance if the session takes place outside of a public or designated studio space.

5. Image Delivery

Edited images will be delivered digitally via a private online gallery within 2–3 weeks of your session (or after full payment is received, if on a payment plan).

Image curation and editing style will reflect the current aesthetic and values of The Mystic Muse. Final image selection is at the sole discretion of the photographer.

6. Use of Images

The Kristen McNevins/Mystic Muse LLC retains full copyright of all photographs created during your session. You are granted a personal-use license for sharing, printing, and posting online (with credit). Commercial use is not permitted unless explicitly stated in a separate agreement.

Images may be used by Kristen McNevins/The Mystic Muse LLC for portfolio, website, and promotional purposes. If you prefer your images not be used publicly, please notify us in writing before your session. 

You are welcome to use your final images for personal use as well as for business-related purposes such as branding, marketing, promotional materials, websites, and social media—provided they are used in connection with your own business, brand, or creative work.

However, images may not be sold, licensed, or distributed to third parties, nor may they be used in commercial advertisements for companies, publications, or products that you do not directly own or represent. If you’re interested in expanded commercial use beyond this scope, please reach out to discuss licensing options.

7. Liability

While every effort is made to provide a safe, comfortable experience, The Mystic Muse LLC is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage arising during your session or due to failure to follow session instructions.

8. Artistic Integrity

You’re hiring The Mystic Muse for her intuitive, artful eye. By booking, you acknowledge that you’ve reviewed her style and agree to trust the creative process. Edits and retouching will be consistent with her portfolio.

Requests for extensive retouching or raw files are not included unless agreed upon in writing.

9. A Note on Respect & Safety
All clients are expected to approach the session with respect and openness. If at any point the photographer feels uncomfortable, unsafe, or that the session does not align with their values, the session may be ended and the client will forfeit payment.
